Universal Contracting performed as the General Trades Subcontractor for the Scioto Residence Hall project at the University of Cincinnati, contributing to the ongoing transformation of the campus housing portfolio.
The project consisted of a 14-story student housing facility with 240 beds across 145 units, along with shared common spaces and a lobby featuring a monumental staircase. The work included both new construction elements and structural repairs within the existing building.

- Hollow metal doors and frames
- Flush wood doors
- Decorative casework
- Custom metal kitchen casework
Completed in July 2016, the renovated Scioto Hall serves as a companion facility to Morgens Hall, providing modernized student housing and shared amenities within an active university campus.
This project highlights Universal’s experience delivering complex general trades packages within large-scale student housing environments, requiring coordination across multiple trades and building systems.
