Universal Contracting served as the General Contractor for the Monroe Bicentennial Commons project, a community-focused park development adjacent to the Monroe Historic Depot. The work transformed underutilized site area into a public space designed to support civic events, passive recreation, and enhanced pedestrian connectivity.

The scope of work included demolition of existing site improvements, the installation of new site features, hardscape and landscape elements, and concrete work to support community gathering spaces and trails.

The project scope included:

  • Finishes including flooring, paint, and ceiling systems
  • Demolition of existing site structures and utilities
  • Installation of new concrete sidewalks, patios, and site furnishings
  • Landscaping and planting beds
  • Site utilities and drainage work
  • Decorative site features and lighting
  • Coordination with owner and public stakeholders
