Description:
Universal Contracting served as the General Contractor for renovations and improvements at Miami University of Hamilton’s Schwarm Hall, Wilkes Conference Center, and Rentschler Hall. The work supported multiple academic and campus functions, enhancing facility performance, accessibility, and user experience.
The project included interior build-outs and selective upgrades to classrooms, student spaces, meeting areas, and support facilities. Universal’s scope provided high-quality finishes and construction trades to meet the university’s schedule and quality expectations.
The project scope included:
- Demolition and new interior partitions
- Finishes including flooring, paint, and ceiling systems
- Interior doors, frames, and hardware
- Casework installations
- Mechanical and electrical coordination
- ADA accessibility improvements
- Site support and coordination within an occupied campus environment
This work reflects Universal’s experience delivering complex educational renovations that balance phased work, multiple building interfaces, and detailed interior finishes while maintaining campus operations.
