Description:
This project consisted of a complete interior demolition and build-out of a new 2,500 SF first-floor men’s and women’s restroom and locker room facility at the Duke Energy Queensgate Operations Center. Universal deliv-ered a full gut and renovation to create modern, durable, and code-compliant facilities designed to support daily operational staff needs.
The project scope included:
- Complete demolition of existing restroom and locker room facilities
- New underground plumbing rough-ins and trench drains
- Reconfigured layout for plumbing fixtures and prefabricated shower units
- New ceramic tile flooring and wet wall systems
- New hard ceilings at shower areas and acoustical ceilings at locker rooms
- New toilet partitions, toilet accessories, and stone sink countertops
- New electrical systems including LED light fixtures
- New HVAC ductwork, diffusers, and control systems
- New hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware
The project was completed over a five-month duration and successfully delivered in December 2023.
