Description:
The renovation and expansion of the Duke Energy Brecon 1 Building modernizes the facility and significantly improves its operational functionality. Universal completes both a 5,200 SF addition and a 6,800 SF renovation, transforming the existing building through extensive demolition, upgraded systems, and newly designed workspaces. Key components of the project include:
- Complete interior demolition of the existing building
- 5,200 SF building addition and 6,800 SF renovation
- New plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, security systems, and ALC controls throughout
- New restroom and full renovation of two existing restrooms
- New masonry, metal wall panels, and windows at the addition
- New windows added to the existing building
- New rooftop unit (RTU)
- New offices, training rooms, and locker rooms
- New eating area with new appliances and casework
- New polished concrete, ceramic tile, carpet, and LVT flooring
This modernization effort delivers an upgraded, efficient facility ready to support Duke Energy’s ongoing operational needs.
