Description:
The new Bracken County Judicial Center required a full General Trades package to support the construction of a modern, two-story, 35,000 SF facility replacing the former center in Brooksville, Kentucky. Universal delivered a comprehensive scope of work that supported both the building’s structural needs and its functional courtroom environment. Key elements of the project included:
- New two-story, 35,000 SF judicial facility
- Three courtrooms with supporting spaces
- Prisoner holding cells, conference rooms, lounges, offices, and storage areas
- Structural system with concrete foundations, slab on grade, structural steel framing, steel decking, structural studs, and light-gauge trusses
- Brick veneer exterior with stone accents
- Aluminum curtain wall, storefront windows, and entrances
- Interior finishes including acoustic tile ceilings, architectural woodwork, porcelain tile, and terrazzo flooring with marble accents
