Description:
Universal Contracting was selected as the General Contractor for the General Mills Balboa Project. The project includes two new processing area additions, renovation of an existing process area, and the installation of miscellaneous concrete equipment pads within an active food manufacturing facility.
The project scope includes:
Whitehouse Area: Interior addition with concrete curbs, structural steel, and epoxy flooring
Penthouse Area: Exterior addition with concrete curbs, structural steel, roofing tie-ins, and new roofing
New Process Area: Selective masonry demolition for a new overhead door opening, new wall finishes, epoxy flooring, and new door openings
Exterior Concrete Work: Two new concrete equipment pads
The project is estimated to be completed over a seven-month schedule with an estimated construction cost of $1,246,750.
