The project scope included:
- Concrete foundations, slab-on-grade construction, and pipe support infrastructure
- Masonry construction with thin brick veneer
- Structural steel and metal trusses
- Metal roofing systems
- Aluminum windows and doors
- Overhead coiling doors
- Sound insulation systems
- HVAC systems
- 3-ton bridge crane installation

Universal completed the project in a four-month timeframe to meet the owner’s accelerated schedule. The project was successfully delivered in December 2022, meeting Duke Energy’s operational deadline and demonstrating Universal’s ability to execute complex utility infrastructure projects efficiently and within tight timelines.
