Description:

Universal Contracting served as the Construction Manager for a 10,000 SF office addition and the renovation of

an existing 12,000 SF Operations Center for Duke Energy at their Amelia, Ohio facility. The project included both new construction and renovation work to expand operational capacity and modernize existing spaces.

The office addition and facility renovation included:

  • Pre-engineered metal building construction
  • New plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire suppression systems
  • Conference rooms
  • Café
  • Restrooms
  • Men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Security doors
  • Asphalt parking lot
  • Warehousing space

Universal Contracting worked closely with Duke Energy and Champlin Architecture to develop budgets and bid packages for this $5 million project. The team also coordinated new roofing and furniture installation with Duke Energy’s assigned subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.

The project was successfully completed in Fall 2021 and reflects Universal’s ability to manage complex utility facilities through collaborative planning, cost control, and effective coordination.
