Description:
Universal Contracting partnered with Messer Construction to deliver the general trades package for the lobby addition “connector” at Fountain Square. This project involved a renovation and multi-story addition to the Fountain Square–facing side of the Fifth Third Bank Headquarters in downtown Cincinnati.
The scope of work included:
- Selective demolition of the Fountain Square plaza
- Demolition of the first floor of the office tower and second floor of the annex
- Concrete foundations
- Concrete planter walls
- Concrete slabs on metal deck
- Concrete slabs on grade
- Concrete associated with new Fountain Square stage construction
- Hollow metal doors and frames
- Wood doors
- Rough carpentry
- Café appliance installation
The connector project was scheduled for completion in Spring 2021 and reflects Universal’s ability to successfully execute complex general trades scopes within high-profile, urban commercial environment.
