Universal Contracting Corporation is proud to serve as the General Contractor for the Lot 23 Improvements at Cincinnati’s award-winning Smale Riverfront Park.
Located along the Ohio River adjacent to The Banks entertainment district, the project continues the long-term vision of creating one of the region’s premier public gathering spaces. The improvements enhance both the beauty and functionality of the park while providing visitors with additional places to gather, relax, and enjoy Cincinnati’s riverfront.
The work focuses on completing many of the park’s signature architectural elements through the installation of premium granite and sandstone finishes, decorative stone veneer, donor recognition features, and public seating. Safety enhancements and improvements to the Race Street turnaround are also included, creating a more welcoming and accessible experience for the millions of residents and visitors who enjoy Smale Riverfront Park each year.
Projects within active public spaces require careful planning, coordination, and attention to detail. Universal’s team is working closely with Cincinnati Parks and project partners to safely complete construction while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship expected of one of Cincinnati’s most recognizable public destinations.
