Description:
Universal Contracting Corporation served as the Construction Manager for the full renovation of the Duke En-ergy Erlanger Operations Center. The project focused on modernizing interior spaces to improve functionality, efficiency, and employee support within an active operations facility.
The project scope included:
- Complete demolition of existing interior office spaces
- Construction of three new crew rooms, one training room, and supporting spaces
- New men’s and women’s restrooms and locker rooms
- New café, pantry, fitness, and wellness rooms
- New air handling units (AHUs) and ALC control systems
- Over 10,000 SF of polished concrete flooring
- New water and sanitary service connections to the complex
- Upgraded security and audiovisual systems
- Three new conference rooms and open collaboration spaces
- Complete new furniture package
The project was estimated to be completed by September 2023 and reflects Universal’s ability to manage large-scale renovations within operational utility environments.
